The Cariou photographer was defeated in the first court. But he won on appeal. It does not say how much fine the publisher paid to Cariou.
4. Reinsdorf Against Skype Shoes Company
Commercial photographer Richard Reinsdorf sued one of his clients, Skechers. Reinsdorf accused Skechers of using his photographs by doing digital work without Reinsdorf's knowledge. Then the photos were used again in various media campaigns outside the initial agreement.
